Optimization Consultant – Container Terminal Operations

📍 Portoptimize, Dubai 💼 Full-Time 🕒 5+ Years Exp

We are looking for an Optimization Consultant to support container terminal operations using Navis N4 and XPS Terminal Operating Systems (TOS). The role involves monitoring terminal performance, identifying issues, analyzing data, and helping improve key operational metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor live terminal operations (vessel, yard, and equipment) through Navis N4 and XPS systems.
  • Track system alerts and performance data to spot and report any issues.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on terminal performance and productivity.
  • Analyze data to identify problems and suggest improvements.
  • Work with the optimization team to resolve operational or system issues.
  • Provide insights to operations teams to improve efficiency.
  • Support improvement initiatives without affecting live operations.
  • Collaborate across multiple terminals to ensure consistent quality and processes.
  • Track key KPIs and recommend actions to improve performance.

Key Competencies and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in terminal operations or using Navis N4 / XPS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Navis N4, XPS, and ECN4 systems
  • Familiarity with automation interfaces (YCS, HT, QCs, RTGs, RMGs).
  • Good understanding of port operations and TOS workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Educational Qualifications:

B. E or B. Tech (any discipline) / MCA or M.Sc. (CS)
